The Guangdong Hong Kong Media Group Company Limited (GHKMG) was established in Hong Kong in 2006 by two prominent figures in Greater China's media industry and arts community: Mr. Kit Szeto, seasoned media business advisor in Hong Kong and founder of high grade Chinese television drama producer, Beijing Yahuan; Mr. David Chun-Yee Pong, Executive Director of Shiu Wing Steel Limited, Vice-Chairman of the Ink Society of Hong Kong and an active patron of the arts.

GHKMG's mission is to develop and provide lifestyle and entertainment television programming for audiences in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and overseas Chinese around the world.

To achieve this mission, GHKMG has launched a new Cantonese satellite TV channel, Dim Sum TV, on 30th March 2007 to redefine the new Cantonese culture for audiences in the GBA and beyond. The channel is broadcasting through now Broadband TV on channel 539 in Hong Kong and has started to broadcast on 16th July 2007 in Macau Cable TV on channel 16, and will be broadcasting in Guangdong and other overseas Chinese communities over time. In its continuous strive to deliver fresh content to viewers, Dim Sum TV programs epitomize the new Cantonese spirit – energetic, passionate, going after quality and broader horizon.
