The CGCC Hong Kong Celebrates its 115th Anniversary with Representatives Convening in Hong Kong

On the 27th November, The CGCC held its 115th Anniversary celebration at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Honored guests convening included officials of the Chinese government, Hong Kong SAR, special high ranking officials from various provinces and representatives from many business and industrial sectors totalling 800 guests.

The CGCC was established since 1900 as a non-profit Sino Commercial organization. It is one of the longest standing organization and it is a large scale organization. Currently, it has more than 6,000 active members.

Mr. C.Y. Leung, Chief Executive of the HKSAR gave a congratulatory toast at the night of the celebration. The Chief Executive began his speech by presenting CGCC’s role in a brief walk down the memory lane of the historic Chinese revolutionary reform, reviewing how CGCC has transformed itself under different historical phases, further solidifying and affirming the invaluable contributions CGCC has brought to Hong Kong .

Mr. C.Y. Leung asserted that accompanying the National 13th Five-Year Plan as well as the gradual unfolding of the “One Belt And One Road” proposal, Hong Kong will welcome unprecedented opportunities.Mr. C. Y. Leung believed that in the near future, Hong Kong can fully develop to be the perfect role of the “super liason,” further promoting the social and economic development of the city.

In his speech, Mr. Charles Yeung, Chairman of the CGCC also gave his speech. He expressed that since the establishment of CGCC, the organization consistently carried the ideals of loving our country and loving Hong Kong. The organization assisted its members and their business enterprises to expand and develop their services and product offerings. Furthermore, the organization proactively participated in building projects and economic developments in China. In the coming years, CGCC will continue serve Hong Kong, give back to the community, collaborating and supporting our country and Hong Kong, keeping pace with their development.

At the award presentation ceremony, the CGCC presented awards to a number of Chamber Members who have served for over thirty years at the CGCC in appreciation for their dedication and their contribution.

At the celebration, Hong Kong singer Mr.Hacken Lee sang, Red Song, elevating the celebation to a climatic high.
