“The Top Ten SAR Government Policy
Initiatives of 2007 Selection”
Awards for “The Top Ten SAR Government Policy Initiatives of 2007 Selection” were presented in the afternoon of 27th February 2008. The event, supported by twenty-three Hong Kong media organizations with Dim Sum TV among them, was attended by top government officials and community leaders. Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & Chief Executive Officer of Dim Sum TV also participated in the event.

The initiative that won the top slot for 2007 was “the Merger of the MTR and KCR systems and Simultaneous Fare Reduction”. The initiatives were chosen based on popular votes from the public. 130,000 votes were received this year.
Mr. Kit Szeto (right) presented the second prize to the winner of the popular vote.
Among senior officials in attendance were Mr. Donald Tsang, the Chief Executive of HKSAR; Mr. Li Gang, the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Yang Zigang, Deputy Commissioner of China’s Foreign Ministry in the HKSAR.

“The Top Ten SAR Government Policy Initiatives of 2007 Selection” is in its tenth year. This milestone is commemorated with the publishing of an anniversary brochure, “Ten Years of the SAR Government: A Flashback.” Mr. Eric Lam, Executive Vice President of Dim Sum TV, is a member of the brochure’s editorial committee.
