The CGCC Extends Helping Hand To The Disadvantaged With Comprehensive We Care, We Share Campaign
On October 24, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce held the launch ceremony for its We Care, We Share Campaign in the main hall at CGCC headquarters. The campaign, jointly organized for the first time by the CGCC and its seven district liaison offices, will include a variety of initiatives and activities from October to December aimed at serving disadvantaged communities. This year also marks the largest-scaled We Care, We Share campaign since its introduction in 2009.

At the ceremony, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the CGCC, said that the organization’s various liaison offices have always acted as a bridge between its members and the business community. As the needs of the lower-income and disadvantaged groups continue to grow, the We Care, We Share campaign will serve as a platform for focusing and extending the private sector’s community efforts.

Reflecting upon the past few years, Ms. Connie Wong, Chairperson of the We Care, We Share Committee, made the observation that the underprivileged are not the only ones whose lives have been touched by the campaign since 2009. For all those who have participated, the experience has been as moving as it is warm and enriching. She added that this year’s campaign will be even more multi-faceted than in previous years.
Dim Sum TV was among the media organizations invited to take part in the launch ceremony of We Care, We Share.
