TV World 2015 Looks into the Future of Streaming Technology
On March 10, TV World 2015, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Television Association (HKTVA) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held. At the event, TV industry insiders and professionals from both sides of the Strait gathered to offer their perspectives and suggestions on the state of Hong Kong’s TV industry as well as the overall market.
One of the TV media representatives speaking at the event was Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, who gave an overview of the latest trends in video consumption in China and the potential of online video development. Mr Szeto used data to illustrate the trend of online broadcasting. He expressed that, as part of the worldwide Chinese-language TV community, Hong Kong’s TV industry will need to devote to continuous innovation and the production of quality programming that meets popular demand.

In his speech, Mr. Tsui Siu Ming, Chairman of the HKTVA, expressed his gratitude to all the supporters of the development of the Hong Kong TV industry, and introduced the theme of this year’s TV World regarding.

Now in its 9th year, TV World has become an important platform for interaction, exchange and collaboration within the TV industry. This year’s event was the result of the joint efforts of 11 local TV media.

Dim Sum TV has learned that the curtains will be raised on the TV World International Forum on March 24. During the forum, a summit workshop on “Streaming Media – Development and Opportunities for the TV Industry” will be held, during which the leading lights of the TV industry from around the region will be invited to brainstorm and help chart the course for the future development of the online platform.
