Mr. Kit Szeto served on the Executive Committee for Hong Kong’s National Day Celebration Cocktail party and press reception

A gathering of over 500 Hong Kong journalists, executives and politicians recently celebrated the 58th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China with a large banquet at the North Point Metropolitan Restaurant on 24th September 2007. The Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, Mr. Kit Szeto, was a member of the Executive Committee organizing the event, which was the first large gathering of the Hong Kong media that Dim Sum TV has attended since their test broadcast in March.

Mr. Szeto spoke highly of the Dim Sum Satellite TV, which focuses on Hong Kong, Macau and Pearl River Delta region, and many members of the media expressed their support for the channel.

The reception was also attended by several senior government officials, including The Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Gao Si-ren, the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR. The Deputy Commissioner of the Office of Foreign Affairs, Tsang Tak-sing, and the Secretary for Home Affairs, Professor K.C. Chan, were also in attendance, as well as Li Gang, the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong; Tsang Hin-chi, the Chairman of Goldlion Holdings; Jim Wing-sun, also from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government; and several organizing members of the Executive Committee, including Lee Cho-jat, Lo Man-tuen, Zhang Yan-jun, Kan Fook-yee, and Zhang Yan-jun.

The Executive Committee Chairman and Hong Kong Wen Wei Po Director, Zhang Guo Liang, led the executives and the rest of the banquet in a toast to China, wishing it strength and prosperity, and also wishing for Hong Kong to remain harmonious and prosperous.

Later, Mr. Zhang also gave a speech congratulating and expressing thanks to the Hong Kong news media on behalf of the Executive Committee.
