Mr. Szeto discussed Dim Sum TV with Mr. Chan, and expressed that the channel will enhance communications between Macau, Guangdong and Hong Kong through it’s coverage of regional cultural, lifestyle, social and economic issues.

Mr. Chan said that as customs procedures have become more simplified and transportation infrastructure between the three territories in the Greater Pearl River Delta has become more connected, especially with the development of the Greater Pearl River Delta Inter-City Rapid Rail Transit Network, the lives of people living in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau will grow more intertwined. Because of this, Mr. Chan said media should broaden their point of view to encompass the changing needs of all the residents in these areas. Dim Sum TV, the first media channel to focus entirely on the Greater Pearl River Delta, is in a prime position to do this.

Mr. Chan emphasized that a large percentage of the increasing volume of visitors to Macau is from the Greater Pearl River Delta region. Therefore, the Information Bureau of the Macau Government has been strengthening communication with media abroad, particularly in Guangdong. And with more casinos opening in the territory, Macau is uniquely placed in the region to become the major leisure and entertainment center. Mr. Chan said he hoped there would be close cooperation with Dim Sum TV to promote Macau’s culture and lifestyle. "Development needs media support like this" he said.

Mr. Victor Chan and Mr. Kit Szeto discussed about Dim Sum TV’s trial broadcast in Macau; meanwhile Mr. Chan expressed his hope to have close coorperation with Dim Sum TV to promote Macau’s culture and lifestyle to residents in the Greater Pearl River Delta Region.
