Sunday Market at Hanging Around with Creative Handicraft Artistic Life was officially launched on 12 November. The officiating guests, Professor Laurence James Wood, Associate Head of the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at The Education University of Hong Kong, Chairman of Executive Committee, Mr. Kwok Fai Lau, Senior Programme Manager of Jao Tsung-I Academy initiated the opening ceremony.

During the opening ceremony, youth artists Ms. Vivian Ng, Ms. Terena Wong, Ms. Gabo Li, Ms. Ming Yan Hung, Mr. Leo Lee, Ms. Kaley Lam and Ms. Man Ling So introduced their artworks. The artists pointed out that their creative idea comes from their own life experience and endeavors, in which young people can relate to. The art work, being influencing and resonance-evoking, depicts the future development of the city, providing young people a direct channel to imagine and explore.

Cooperating with Department of Cultural and Creative Arts at The Education University of Hong Kong, seven groups of installation art work about ‘corners of the city’ created by sixteen youth artists from Hanging Around with Creative Handicraft Artistic Life, from 1 November to 30 November, depicted the narrow spaces of the city flow and discovered the forgotten angles of the city.Each artwork designed and curated by youth artists were presented through different channels, inviting guests to revisit corners and unfamiliar places of the city, intriguing dialogues where each of us will reread our shared memories.
