The 15th World Congress of the International Federation of Hainan Associations Hong Kong & Hainan (Hong Kong) Promotion Seminar for Economics, Trade & Tourism and the Hainan-Hong Kong media luncheon sharing session was held on the 30th November 2017
To boost and initiate the exchange and partnership between Hainan and Hong Kong media, the Hainan-Hong Kong media luncheon sharing session was held at Regal Hong Kong hotel. It paved way for the opening ceremony of the 15th World Congress of the International Federation of Hainan Associations Hong Kong & Hainan (Hong Kong) Promotion Seminar for Economics, Trade & Tourism.
Officiating guests of the sharing luncheon, Mr. Chunming Zhang, Deputy Officer of International Communication Office of Hainan Province, Mr. Taihua Peng, Director of the General Office of Hainan Provincial Government, Mr. Hai Tang Lee, Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs, The Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Peter Kuo, Vice president of Hong Kong Federation of Journalists, Mr. Zhengyin Jiang, Deputy General Manager, Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group Limited and representatives from Hong Kong and Hainan media.

During the sharing session, Mr. Chunming Zhang reported to Hong Kong media the accomplishments in economic development of Hainan in the recent years as well as the attention put on building a brand new Hainan for tourists to visit. He introduced Hainan’s focused strategies on constructing a better Hainan and presented the sincerity and will of Hainan to cooperate with Hong Kong extensively to create an international island for tourism.

Also, Mr. Chunming Zhang cordially invited Hong Kong media to join the 15th World Congress of the International Federation of Hainan Associations Hong Kong & Hainan (Hong Kong) Promotion Seminar for Economics, Trade & Tourism running until 2 December 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is anticipated that around 5,000 participants will attend the Congress, including 3,000 overseas Chinese from around 30 countries and provinces. Mr. Chunming Zhang hopes that Hong Kong media can develop new angles in reporting news about Hainan and attract more overseas fellows to learn about Hainan through this Congress.
The luncheon sharing session came to an end with lively discussion on advantages and opportunities of Hainan-Hong Kong cooperation between Hainan and Hong Kong media representatives.
