The 40TH Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award- Gold Songs 40 Commemorative Concert

The 40TH Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award- Gold Songs 40 Commemorative Concert was held on 4 January at Star Hall Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre. Radio Television Hong Kong invited professionals in the music industry to celebrate the 40 years of Chinese Gold Songs along with 90 years of RTHK broadcasting.

The concert opened with Hacken Lee singing some classical gold songs . Collaboration of C AllStar, Mag Lam, Janice Yan, Ivana Wong paid tribute to 90 years of RTHK broadcasting.

Kwong Wan, Sherman Chung added spice to the night by dancing to electronic music. Jason Chan, Alfred Hui, Pakho Chau, James Ng, JW, AGA, Gin Lee and Joyce Cheng came together to perform famous songs of the 90s. Ram Chiang and Rita Maria Carpio, Maria Cordero and Elisa Chan performed theme songs from the movies. It was a first for Tai Chi, Supper Moment and Dear Jane to play band music on the same stage.

The highlight of the night was a C-pop performance by Aaron Kwok, followed by a medley prepared by Alan Tam and Tai Chi. Eason Chan was the big winner of the night by obtaining the ‘Best Male Singer’, ‘Best Pop Music Singer’ and ‘Best Gold Song’.
