The relay began at the Baiyun International Convention Centre, then passed through the national park Mountaintop Park before moving on to the Memorial Hall of Sun Yat-sen, the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, the Lingnan architecture-style Chen Clan Academy, the century-old pedestrian street of Beijing Road, Tianzi Pier, Haizhu Square and finally concluding in the South Square of Tianhe Sports Centre.
Dim Sum TV’s professional film crew was there along the way, filming the opening ceremony, the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall leg, and the scene when the torch arrived at the Tianhe Sports Centre.

Large crowds turned out in force to cheer the torchbearers along, and the enthusiasm for this historic moment was palpable in the air. The crowd was also very gracious and friendly to the Dim Sum TV - some even posed for pictures with the film crew.
