Gather the Nation’s Energy and Pursue the Dream Together “We are Dreamers” Exhibition for the Devotion of Hong Kong and Macao to the Motherland Opened

Dim Sum TV was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the travelling exhibition themed with “We are dreamers” held by Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exhibition showcased the devotion of compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao to China in the past 70 years. Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr. Yang Jian, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, Mr. Song Ru’an, Deputy Commissioner of MFA Commissioner’s Office in the HKSAR, Major General Chen Yading, Deputy Political Commissar of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison, Mr. Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of the HKSAR and over 400 guests attended the opening ceremony. Mr. Kit Szeto, Director and CEO of Dim Sum TV was invited to attend the ceremony as one of the officiating guest.

from 7th to 9th August, 2019, which will display more than 1000 precious photographs on 350 panels. The exhibition is divided into 6 chapters, where the first and second chapters are about the close relationship among people in Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China, and the role of Hong Kong and Macao connecting China and foreign countries. The third chapter demonstrates the advantage of Hong Kong in China’s 40-year reform and opening-up, while the fourth chapter talks about the handover of sovereignty over Hong Kong and Macao and the implementation of “One Country, Two Systems”. The fifth chapter shows the support from Hong Kong and Macao people to the countries’ development and the integration and cooperation of Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland is revealed in the sixth chapter. The exhibition starts with “the Road to Prosperity” and concludes with “Dreaming and Creating the Future Together”. The display will continue in Macao after Hong Kong.

Mr. Jiang Zaizhong, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Director of Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, said in his speech that the exhibition shows China’s effort of overcoming obstacles in the development. Mr. Jiang said that the 70 magnificent years since the founding of PRC is also the time when Hong Kong and Macao make progress along with the motherland. Hong Kong is endowed with a new and significant role in “One Country, Two Systems” on the road to China’s prosperity.

Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor pointed out that Hong Kong has made various contributions and also benefited from the 40 years of the reform and opening-up of China. Under “One Country, Two Systems”, the policy that China adheres to, Hong Kong can gain a variety of opportunities brought by China’s rapid development. She said that Hong Kong continues to connect China and the world, and participate in the development of “One Belt One Road” and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
