In his welcome speech, Mr. Jiang Zaizhong, President of Ta Kung Pao, said that the 18th National Congress has laid down the strategic blueprint for China’s future development, which in turn has brought unprecedented opportunities for the financial sectors in both Hong Kong and the mainland. One of the measures passed by the 18th National Congress was an additional RMB200 billion investment quota for qualified overseas institutional investors, with further increases planned for the future. This will not only widen the investment channels for Hong Kong-based offshore renminbi, but will make Hong Kong an even more attractive destination for offshore rennminbi.

During the summit, keynote speeches were delivered by senior executives from both Hong Kong and mainland-based listed companies. Awards were also presented to outstanding listed companies selected by leading financial institutions on both sides of the border. These awards included “Most Influential Listed Company In Overseas Markets”, “Listed Company with the Most Valuable Brand”, “Best Investor Relations Management by a Listed Company” and others.
