Year of the Snake Brings Together Representatives of
15 Electronic Media in Festive Celebration

The Year of the Snake has gotten off to an auspicious start. On February 18, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) invited Hong Kong’s leading electronic media to the RTHK Lunar New Year Celebration for the Year of the Snake. During the festivities, hosts and guests joined together in wishing that the local media industry would blossom with new vitality in the year ahead, bringing digital broadcasting services even closer to people’s lives and creating an even richer, more diversified media culture.

Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, and his colleagues attended the event and wished everyone, “A little bit more luck, a whole lot of happiness!”

A radiant sun greeted the guests to the event. The entrance to the venue was flanked by a pair of Chinese scrolls, a gift from veteran media practitioner Mr. Yeung Shui Sang, to set the stage for the festivities. Mr. Roy Tang, Director of Broadcasting, extended his well-wishes to the media representatives in the form of gifts of paper cut artworks by renowned paper cut artist Mr. Li Yun Xia.

The event was as simple as it was festive, with all the guests taking turns to pose for the large group photos. The sheer number of media luminaries speaks volumes about the strength of the Hong Kong media industry.
