Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization 2013 Annual Conference Calls for Beijing to Go Global.
On September 26, the 2013 Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization Annual Conference and the Bringing Beijing To The World panel discussion were held in Beijing, China. As one of the standing members of the organization, Dim Sum TV was represented at the event by its Director & CEO, Mr. Kit Szeto. The Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization currently has 81 members in 27 countries and regions spanning all 5 continents.

At the event, Ms. Wang Hui, Director of the Government News Office of Beijing, read the of the 2013 conference. The document formalizes the 6 articles of understanding reached by the overseas Chinese media at the event. These are: Facing the Worldwide Chinese Audience and Propagating Chinese Culture; Upholding the Legal Rights of Chinese Expatriates and Elevating the Social Standing of Overseas Chinese Communities; Exploring Cooperation Opportunities and Developing Mutually Beneficial Collaboration; Driving Strategic Transformation and Leading Media Innovation; Returning to Core Values of the Media Industry and Strengthening Media Credibility; Raising the Profile of the New Beijing on the World Stage.

The conference was attended by over 100 representatives from 64 overseas Chinese media in more than 20 countries and regions on all 5 continents.
