Mr. Kit Szeto Appointed Consultant to the Cultural Professional Committee of the Guangdong Association for the Promotion of Cooperation
between Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau.

On November 12, the inauguration of the second Cultural Professional Committee of the Guangdong Association for the Promotion of Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong & Macau (CPC) was held in Guangzhou. The ceremony was attended by over 150 cultural industry representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, was appointed Consulting Member of the Cultural Professional Committee.

The new leadership of the Cultural Professional Committee was chosen by committee election. Besides Mr. Kit Szeto, the other consulting members included Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau leading cultural figure Ms. Hong Xiannv, Mr. Ma Fung Kwok, Mr. Peter Lam, Mr. Ng See Yuen, and Mr. Zhang Huijian, President of Southern Media Corporation.

The Cultural Professional Committee was established in April, 2011. In the more than two years since, it has been working to fulfill its mandate by rallying cultural experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland, exploring new frameworks for trilateral cooperation, and acting as a conduit for the interface between government, market, capital and culture.

The special guests at the inauguration included Ms. Zhao Yufang, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province; Mr. Tang Hao, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Guangdong; Mr. Liao Jingshan, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Guangdong Province. During the inauguration, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition was also officially opened, with the aforementioned guests conducting the lighting ceremony.

With the inauguration, the Cultural Professional Committee has been augmented to 417 members. In the future, the new committee will continue to organize large-scale projects and activities, assemble overseas and domestic competitive resources, and act as a platform for cultural collaboration and exchange.
