Throughout the years of the mainland’s reform and liberalization, Hong Kong has not only been the mainland’s biggest source of investment, but has also assumed the important roles of intermediary and facilitator of economic exchanges between the mainland and the rest of the world. With the mainland’s economic upgrade reaching a new milestone, cross-border economic integration will be elevated to a new level.
