Creativity of Reality TV Takes Center Stage at TV World 2014
On March 11, TV World 2014, one of the most important events on the TV industry’s social calendar, was officially opened at The Mira Hong Kong Hotel. Attended by representatives from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the press conference provided an excellent opportunity for TV and media professionals to share the latest news, exchange views on the industry’s development and take the pulse of the market. One of the topics on the mind and lips of everyone present was the ongoing reality TV phenomenon.

During the press conference, Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, introduced two of the network’s experiential reality TV shows, The Delta Missions and Mission Green, and shared his thoughts on the development of reality TV shows as a key ingredient in Asian audiences’ TV diet. He urged Hong Kong TV practitioners to step up their collaborative efforts with mainland and overseas TV stations, taking advantage of Hong Kong’s strength as the conduit for exchanges between the mainland and the rest of the world. Doing so, he said, will help Hong Kong’s creative output to go global.
