“Eyes On PRD” tooks the prize for
the best on-the-spot reporting television program for
Guandong Province.
The Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival 2007 was held on December 3-4 last year in Guangzhou, which was attended by many important regional officials. Among the guests were representatives from The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, The Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, The People’s Government of Guangzhou, The Administration of Radio, Film and Television of Guangdong Province, and the Southern Media Corporation. Among these guests were also numerous media professionals from around the world.

Nearly 20 television stations submitted more than 30 documentaries and over 30 magazine programs for the awards. The jury deliberations took nearly a month and went through several rounds of assessments before arriving at the results for the top three best documentaries and the top three best magazine programs.
“A Movable Feast : Eyes on PRD” submitted by Dim Sum TV was among the top prize winners in the best magazine programs. The program features Greater Pearl River Delta’s recent development of eight specific aspects with visuals presented around a series of conversations between the host and local university students.
