Youth Concert for Celebration of the 69th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China

The "National Day Youth Concert" presented by the Preparatory Committee for the 69th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, the Home Affairs Bureau and the Home Affairs Department was successfully held on October 2nd at the Hong Kong Coliseum. It brought together popular singers from the Mainland, Hong Kong and South Korea, performing hot dance and songs to the audience to celebrate the National Day.

The "National Day Youth Concert" was held for the first time in 2015 and has been warmly welcomed and supported by fans for the past three years. This year’s performance lineup included South Korean boys group BTOB and PENTAGON, South Korean girls group CLC, South Korean singer-songwriter Lee Gi-kwang, Mainland hip-hop youth group BOY STORY, as well as Hong Kong singer Kandy Wong Shan-yee and Sammy Sum Chun Hin. The concert was full house, and the whole audience sang along to celebrate the National Day.

The popular South Korean girls group CLC kicked off the concert with hot dance and hit songs, including "Hobgoblin", "Meow Meow", "I Like lt" and "Black Dress", immediately warmed up the atmosphere. A member of the CLC girls group, Elkie Chong, whom was previously a child-actress in Hong Kong, talked with the audience in Cantonese, earning big applause and cheers.

Film actor, TV actor and singer Sammy Sum Chun Hin, performed popular songs such as "Can’t be defeat" and "I’m really good". His beautiful singing fascinated the audience. BOY STORY, Mainland’s first hip-hop youth group once again hit the stage this year, presenting the powerful rhythm of "Handz Up", "Jump Up", "Enough" etc, showing off their excellent dance skill at the same time.

Hong Kong singer Kandy Wong Shan-yee first performed two slow-beat songs, including "Experimental Youth" and "Together Not Together ", then covered the popular song "Little Lucky" and a fast-beat song "In this House".

South Korea’s new boys group PENTAGON also performed a few songs "Gorilla" and "Beautiful", their hot dance made the atmosphere more exciting. After that, South Korean singer-songwriter Lee Gi-kwang presented songs like "Misunderstanding" and "One", exuding his unique singing charm.

Last but not least, South Korean super popular boys group BTOB took the stage and performed love songs "Missing", "The Feeling" and "Movie", taking the atmosphere to a high point and bringing the "National Youth Concert" to a perfect end.
