Dr. Dai Zhaoyang, consultant of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and member of Contemporary Taiwan Development Foundation, pointed out that after the financial crisis in 2008, the world had moved from American dominance to a "multipolar" pattern dominated by the United States, China, Germany and Russia. In this process, China’s implementation of "One Belt One Road" was not to stand at the commanding heights to make the confrontation with the United States, but to uphold the "Beijing consensus" formed by the three principles of "anti-protectionism", "support for regional integration" and "sharing interests of development". He also said that China stood together with the regional countries at the same level, and would achieve coexistence and common prosperity through mutual assistance and cooperation.
