Twelve Electronic Media Celebrate
the Year of the Rabbit,
Dim Sum TV Wishes Everyone A Bountiful Year Ahead

On February 9, the representatives of 12 Hong Kong electronic media gathered at Radio Television Hong Kong for the Lunar New Year Celebration for the Year of the Rabbit. The theme of this year’s event reflects the new orientation of Hong Kong media in the electronic and digital age: at home in Hong Kong, in tune with the motherland and the world. Mr. Kit Szeto, Director & CEO of Dim Sum TV, attended the festivities, during which he wished everyone a rewarding, bountiful Year of the Rabbit.

The event celebrated festivity and creativity. For Hong Kong’s media, the advent of the digital age has made it possible to look beyond Hong Kong and cast a fresh eye on China and the world for the benefit of their audiences through innovative new productions. Indeed, that is what Hong Kong’s electronic media have set their sights on in the Year of the Rabbit. In line with this mission, Mr. Gordon Leung, Acting Director of Broadcasting, announced that RTHK will be launching the “Hong Kong To The World” 4-part TV documentary series, while “Cultural Heritage – The Railroad” will chronicle the evolution of China’s railway system.
