Dim Sum TV Wins Manpower Developer Award
At The 3rd ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme

On April 24, 2012, the Hong Kong Employees Retraining Board (ERB) held The 3rd ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme Presentation Ceremony. Ms. Ceci Chuang, Project Director of Dim Sum TV, accepted the Manpower Developer (SMEs) Award on behalf of the TV network.

Established in 1992, ERB’s mandate is to help raise the quality of human resources in Hong Kong. The Manpower Developer Award Scheme was introduced in December, 2009, the first comprehensive program for assessing and recognizing entrepreneurial efforts in manpower training and development strategy in Hong Kong.

This is the third consecutive year in which the ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme has been held. This year, a total of 55 enterprises have been recommended by a panel of technical experts for the 2-year accreditation as Manpower Developers. These enterprises span 23 different business sectors.

For the judging process, ERB appointed the Hong Kong Productivity Council as the technical consultant responsible for evaluating the manpower training and development programs of participating organizations according to five key performance indicators. These are: Leading a Learning Culture; Resources Planning; Training and Development System; Performance Management; and Corporate Social Responsibility in Manpower Development. To ensure impartiality and credibility, prominent figures in academia as well as the continuing education and human resources sectors were invited to act as honorary advisors on the accreditation mechanism. ERB has also obtained the support of numerous trade associations and professional organizations in promoting the award scheme.
